Food Avenue: Ka Lui (Puerto Princesa, Palawan)

Last Summer 2011, I went to Puerto Princesa with my brother and my mother for a PAPTELCO meeting. Since I read my friend's tweet earlier that he's going to Palawan, I suddenly missed the place especially the food there. Hihi :"> And one of the few things that I will never forget about Puerto Princesa is the FOOD and Ka Lui is definitely a must-try there.

This is where we ate on our first night in Puerto Princesa. It's usually packed with tourists and it's recommended to have a reservation before going here. Luckily for us, even though we didn't have a reservation that time, we were still able to get a table right away. :)

I love how cozy the place is! And if you eat inside, you'd have to go barefoot!

I ordered a Tuna Steak Plate and it's served with talong. I never really like talong (I eat it occasionally though) but I fell in love with this dish! It's the best talong dish I've ever had! They also served us complimentary soup and dessert (fruits topped with muscovado sugar).

KaLui looked really small and simple on the outside but when I got inside, I never expected that the place looked so beautiful and cozy. I can't help but think that it's a Pinoy version of Gabby's Bistro. I think they only serve seafood and vegetables there but even if you're a meat lover, you'll definitely enjoy the food here. :)

Friendly Fires: A Photo Shoot (122911)

Every vacation, my friends and I make sure to have a fun shoot. Friendly Fires is more of a barkada shoot. Friendly for friends and fires for the shots we took. We didn't really have a theme so we just wore what we feel like wearing. :)

Food Avenue: Restaurants I Have Yet To Try!

Whenever I get bored and hungry here at home, I view food blogs to see restaurant reviews and websites of restaurants to check their menu. Here are some of the restaurants I have yet to try...

Rai Rai Ken. We have Rai Rai Ken here in Dumaguete but I have never tried eating there yet. I've always been curious about this restaurant and I've always wanted to try their ramen, chicken teriyaki, and tempura.

Teriyaki Boy. I'm a big fan of teriyaki especially teriyaki chicken. I'm not sure though, but I think I've already tried Teriyaki Boy before but it was a very long time ago (Sept 2007).

Blue Monkey Grill. Blue Monkey Grill is a local restaurant located here at Dumaguete. I've been to this place before with my cousins but not to eat, but to drink (though I didn't drink anything). I read a review earlier and it said that their grilled chicken and grilled pork are both good. I also told my boyfriend earlier to try eating at this place. Maybe I'll order a grilled pork and a kinilaw! :)

Pancake House. I thought this place was all about pancakes (because of the name) but since my mother started talking about this last summer, I got curious and now I can't wait to try this place.

The Sizzlin' Pepper Steak. I like anything sizzled and I also read a positive review about this. Can't wait to try this when I get to Cebu or Manila. :)

Bienvenue!

Today I decided to make a blog for my every day life. I don't care if anyone reads this or not. I'll try not reveal any very personal information here and I'll try not to publish all my emotions here because that would only be for myself and for the people close to me. As of now I'm choosing a theme for this blog and after doing that, I will be posting about what happened today. :)
